Cynthia Ann Shobe Francis

This is one of my favorite pictures. She is wearing a cross we bought in Albuquerque when we went to the Hot Air Ballon festival. She really was proud of that cross and wore it all the itime.

Cynthia was happiest when she was with her children/grandchildren or out with her camping buddies. The lady on the left is long time camping friend Lucy Leeton, The couple across from her are Howard and Gail Goforth. We have been all over the country with the Goforth's and have known each other since junior high.

The Grand Kids

From Left to Right - Derek, Dylan, Katie, Devin, Chelsea, Jeremy, Shorty (Brian Wade), Desirae. This is the last picture I have with all of them in it. It was taken Thanksgiving 2002. Since that time we have had five graduate from highschool, three get married, two are attending college, and two have children of their own now.

Though she could dress to kill, Cynthia was most comfortable in a sweatshirt and jeans.

We really liked to travel with a group. We had four couples make the trip  to the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Festival in 2003. We were part of a camping group from the early 70's which was made up of families in our local church. In December 2005, three couples of us went to the Rose Parade right after I retired. On the way back we stopped at Rincon West RV Park in Tucson and Cynthia and I spent our first winter in Arizona.

In the afternoons, Cynthia liked to set out on her swing in the front yard.

We rode in on the railrod from Williams, AZ to the Grand Canyon.  Cynthia is being entertained by a train robber, who appears wanted more than her money and jewelry.
